I became a “jack of all trades and master of none,” but in this line of work that I do, it's good to remember the last and much forgotten final line “and often better than a master of one.”

I have been working with my hands for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I dug holes in the backyard that were two feet overhead just for fun and built unsafe ramps for my friends and me to launch our bikes off of. I often wonder how I never really got hurt with all the dumb stuff I used to do.

As I got older, I found I was good at fixing things (though not cars, unfortunately) and building various projects. The first time I repaired the kitchen sink, I was about 8 or 9 years old. My mom had put a ridiculous amount of lettuce down the garbage disposal, which really backed it up. I crawled under the sink with one of those giant green plastic Tupperware bowls (Do you remember those?) and disassembled the drain. After flushing everything out, I put it all back together and cleaned up the mess. I was so proud of myself that I decided right then I wanted to become a plumber. While that did not happen, I learned a great deal about plumbing and much more as I entered the world of custom home building.

Apart from a few, I was immersed in all the trades at once. My mentor would teach me how or say go do and I would figure things out as we built custom homes from the ground to the roof. I loved becoming proficient in trades, whether it was framing walls to sweating copper to running electrical lines to setting tile. I wanted to know how to do it all. I became a “jack of all trades and master of none,” but in this line of work that I do, it’s good to remember the last and much forgotten final line “and often better than a master of one.”

I can fix things, evaluate and solve problems. I have had to come up with all sorts of in the box and out of the box solutions while navigating full remodels and additions to  maintenance for property management companies. I work hard to build trust with my clients and save them time and money. So, if you need someone to fix a hole in the drywall, remodel a bathroom, or tackle a house renovation and everything in between, I can help.
